Oil pastel on paper, a four-part series depicting the duality of wings and wind, contemplating active flight vs. surrendering to the directions and whims of Mother Nature, inspired by watching large swarms of birds ride the wind like waves in the fall. Small strokes of color mimic the principles of pointillism and the tones of the ever-changing sky. Each piece measures 18”x24”
